Anybody running LMC's pre-fab exhaust?
Could you snap some pics of it? I'm down to the tail pipes and just can't seem to get them to fit....at least without them hanging about a foot below the frame rails.
Thanks!

Re: Anybody running LMC's pre-fab exhaust?
Your right! The set sucks! Heart throb i presume. It's the same set up as the one from J.C. Whitney so don't try that one either. I had a a heck of a time with it also. I have a 68 4x4 short bed. The right side header pipe wouldn't even fit. I ended up going around the bottom of the trans. case and cross member with 4 ~ 90 deg. bends. I moved the mufflers forward and angled them to achieve the most height for the tail pipes. From there I added 12" straight pipe between the mufflers and the tail pipes. The end result is OK. They aren't a foot low but i'm in the last hole with the clamp that is availabe on the supplied hanger. I'll try to post some pics. for you tomorrow.
Sorry for my rant~ Landon |

It actually hangs pretty low at the rear. I hung my hangers from the bed cross brace just outside of the frame rails. My kit fit fine. It's been on the truck since 2002. And yeah, I was scratching my head for quite a while trying to figure out how it all fit together.

I used the LMC set on mine. It does seem to hang a little lower on the back than I would like but it's not that bad.

Re: Anybody running LMC's pre-fab exhaust?
Got it on my short bed, only had to take one header pipe to midas to get more of an angle put on it, but it works fine.
