72 Big Block - All or Part?

Original Seat - no tears

$2500 - -Bought this Bad Boy several years ago. Let it set for about a year and then started working on it to put it on the road. Couldn't find the title to change it over and register in my name. Got hold of the guy I bought it from to get a replacement title and he said he wouldn't help. So, it has sat behind my shop for about 5 years growing mold and raising squirells. It is a Cheyenne Super 20. Big Block, 4 speed, tilt wheel. Has the original seat in nice shape. Might be dry rotted? It ran, barely, when parked. I think it had some valves burnt. Someone before the guy I bought it from had a fender bender(white driver fender) and got mad and made a tank out of it. He extended the front and rear bumpers with some massive steel. Cab is solid, rockers are starting to go. Cab corners and floor are good. bed is solid, has some rust from leaves stacking up, but no rot. Don't really want to part it out, so if someone can deal with the title issue, they can have a great project with everything there. If I can get $2500 for the whole thing I'll let it go. I'm sure the peices and parts would bring more, but I'll let somebody else worry about that. I'm in East Texas near Tyler. Buyer can worry about getting it home. What do you think?
straight body - no rot

original big block + squirrel nest

good cab with solid corners and floors.

Man I wish you were closer. That thing would be in my driveway already. Please let me know if you decide to part it out. I am interested in the tilt plus shipping to 27523. Thanks and good luck with your sale, however I dont think you will need it.

If you decide to part it, I would like the original air cleaner and stovepipe/heat riser setup. Shipping to 92503.

If you do not part it, good luck with your sale!

Re: 72 Big Block - All or Part?

Im just going to throw this out there. time of orignal post permiting.

The Department of Motor Vehicles in most states, has a Purge Process that they do. If a vehicle has not had activity in 5 to 7 years. They remove the entry from the system.

Now that does not mean its gone completely. It just helps you the present owner to get a title on the vehicle and put it in your name if you lost the title, or had a title issue. Hope it helps

Re: 72 Big Block - All or Part?

I'm going to let this run like it is for a few days. If no one wants the whole thing I willl think about parts. I didn't mention that the tail gate is not good. all the other body parts are useable.

Can't believe somebody doesn't want a good project. Lots of requests for parts, but I'm not ready for that yet.

Re: 72 Big Block - All or Part?

One more time to the top. If there is no taker for the whole truck it's going under the knife. I hate to part out such a solid truck, but it seems the market is not there right now.

Re: 72 Big Block - All or Part?

Try putting it in the 'trucks for sale' section on here. I look there for complete vehicles sometimes. This looks like a great project to make it a short bed with big block. I wish you were closer too, because you don't see many trucks in this good of shape around here. Good luck with it. This would make someone a great project!
