AC Belt Gone?

Just replaced all belts (ac,ps & alt)

Realized a week later I was missing the AC belt and have been hearing an occasional "tink tink" up there at idle. Sounds like the fan hitting something.

a.) what could cause this to happen?

b.) is there a way to test the AC compressor to see if it seezed up?

Going down the highway @ 65-70 I notices a squeel after the ac belt was gone?

Any thoughts? Thank you

The squeal sounds like one of the other belts is slipping. as for the AC unit you need to make sure it is aliened right and you can check to see if the compressor is froze by having someone in the truck with the motor running turn on the AC and watch to see if the pulley engages and starts spinning. If its froze you should get a lot of squeal.
