WTB: Fleetside Outer fender wells
I need a decent pair of outer fender wells for a fleetside and I believe that these were the same for long beds or short beds. They don't have to be completely rust free as I will patch a few small holes, if necessary. Specifically, I am looking for the part that is welded to the bed side and not the inner well that is bolted in. If someone has a set that they are interested in cutting out or knows if this is a part that is now reproduced as a patch panel, I appreciate the help.
Thanks,

Re: WTB: Fleetside Outer fender wells
It`s the inner bedside panel behind the wheelhouse, right?

That is correct, Special. Both outer wheelwells on both sides need to be replaced as does some of the flat metal that bolts to the wheelhouse. It is hard to describe and I hope that the picture helps. Thanks,

Re: WTB: Fleetside Outer fender wells
Checked the stash over the weekend - somebody cut them out of my spare bedsides (both sides) - guess the PO needed them for something else - so I don't have them after all...

Re: WTB: Fleetside Outer fender wells
I don't have the skills or tools to pull that one off. I could handle the flat metal on the inside panel, but not the curved outer wheelhousing. It certainly doesn't have to be perfect because this will never be a show truck and I'll probably put undercoating in there, but I want it to look close to what the originals look like.

Re: WTB: Fleetside Outer fender wells
It`s always a shock to see that, sometimes on otherwise solid bedsides. If the are reproduced that would be a clean way to go.Good luck to ya.

Re: WTB: Fleetside Outer fender wells
I have a set of sides that i've cut some patches out of already. I'll double check if the inner wells are straight. I'll get you a pic when i get home.

I might have what you need. I can't see your picture to say for sure. Take a look at my thread "parting a 71 suburban" and let me know.

Re: WTB: Fleetside Outer fender wells
I just checked them out, Rob and it appears to be different on the Suburban. Thanks for the suggestion.

Re: WTB: Fleetside Outer fender wells
I'm hoping that a year will make a difference on this one, but... Does anyone know if these parts are being reproduced yet?
Thanks,

Re: WTB: Fleetside Outer fender wells
I have two sets of fleetside long bed sides, and was considering cutting up one set to make patch panels for another project. I can cut and save the inners for you. Let me know if you are interested. This would be from a 68 gold truck that I parted out, no rust.

(hope u don't mind I jump in here, it would be difficult to duplicate the info in the thread). No problem at all, Scott. Jon, from Tri-Plus says that the aftermarket pieces will be available in about 2 weeks and they are $90 a side.
