she looks so lonely...

I'm always out in the country since I work for the power companies. I swear I see a good bit of these trucks just laying around waiting to be restored. I'm gonna see if I can find out who owns this one so maybe I can take it off there hands

Re: she looks so lonely...

indeed, that '69 looks a bit lonely there. but this a cool pic nonetheless!

and.... it's probably not for sale. "Been meaning to get her running for a few years". In 20 years it will still be there, sunk up to the bumper. **sigh**

Wow, sweet find. I'll bet she looks pretty good under that dust. Get her cheap and make a buck selling her to me, haha.

At least it's in a shed instead of rotting away in a field... could be a great find, good luck!

Re: she looks so lonely...

Wow, looks like someone just parked her and forgot about her. Just when you thought that the "barn find" was legend.
Heck, splash some gas in the tank and shoot some starting fluid down her carb's throat, she would probably crank right up!

Around here that would be their retirement fund. The ones I come across the owner wants big bucks for it or the same old story about fixing her up someday.

Re: she looks so lonely...

Beto, call the county and search records for the property owner. Shouldn't take more than an hour of your time...less if you have a friend who works for the county.

My son has a "chick friend" ("she's not a girlfriend, mom, just a chick who's a friend") who lived next to the HS in Jemison. I went to pick her up to take both to the ball game and there was a '68 GMC in the "garage" very similar to the one you have pictured. I asked her mom about it and she said they were renting the house they were in, but gave me the name of the owner. I have yet to call him about it, but may have to before too long.
