Need help on carb/intake mani picking

I know nothing about matching this up.

buying a 350 .30 over off CL, and need a mani/carb to match.

Going to be mated to a powerglide at first, a th350 later in life.

My mechanic's picks:

Thoughts? Im fine spending +/- $100 on the combo...

Re: Need help on carb/intake mani picking

I am running a stealth intake and a carter 750 on mine. It is a 383 stroker punched .030 and a 3/4 race cam. Summit shows the intake for about $140.

I'd go with the standard performer if not building a wild 350.

I'm partial to quadrajets.

This would be my suggestion. I have this combo at it works great. The Street Avenger series are great street carbs.

Re: Need help on carb/intake mani picking

depends what you want-
max street power (or if going to upgrade) go with a dual plane air-gap type (weiand 8501/edelbrock 7501) just a lil more cash $210-ish
or the edelbrock performer EPS (2701)-more current design of "ol faithful"

for non fuss carbs x2 on a q-jet...just get an adapter.
