I was interested in this also but for the price of the floor shipped, one could source a complete bed (or truck).

Not very, just like all the other repop metal. I'm selling a rust free/original paint 8' fleet metal floor. Much stronger.

I want that bed floor, but no doubt shipping would be murder. Any ideas?

I have seen some patch panels offered that are 19 gauge instead of 21, are these any better?

typically 19. A few that are outsourced are thinner and later model stuff ('99- Silverado) is heavier

Re: LMC now has the 8ft metal bed

The thread title is a bit ambiguous. Are we talking about bed sides or bed floors? Or both?

both, I priced them through goodmark. $750 per side and $1000 for the floor a while back. I've got less invested in my whole truck so far and drive it daily...

Me too. I'm not looking to turn mine into a show truck. I just want to fix the rust and make a solid good looking DD out of it. I'll be buying patch panels to fix the problems with the cab, but when the time comes, I'm pretty sure I'll be trying to track down a used bed that's better than the one I have now. Unless win the lottery!

Re: LMC now has the 8ft metal bed

Does anyone know if these beds can be married with the 6 inch front section of Longhorn to make a Longhorn bed?
