Daughter's new ride

Well we have been looking for vehicles to rebuild for my daughter's first ride, and she surprised us when she wanted a pickup. (Brought a tear to my eye,:sniff:sniff) Today I found it and now have added a 4th generation of Chevy to the family. Found an 89 chevy c1500 cheyenne on craigslist this morning 5 minutes after the owner posted it. I am in the Boonies and he ended up being 5 miles from the shop. 350 engine, AOD, 154,000 miles. Interior needs seat cover ONLY! Tranny is barely pulling, but engine runs good, a/c works, and the only rust is the usual rockers and cab corners. Does a Poppa proud that his girl wants a truck! Plans are 3 inch drop, 17 inch wheels, cowl hood and her favorite "Plum Crazy" purple with ghost flames. Best part was the price.....$400.00 Jerry.

Nice truck and tell her to drive safe. Remind her to look both ways before pulling out. Here is a picture of my 16 year old sons truck from a few years ago. Before and after.

Re: Daughter's new ride

Great buy! Nothing like a loved one taking up the love of something that you share. With that customized truck, you'll definitely have to keep the big sticks around to beat the boys away.

Please post pics when project is done!
