Anybody running 20x12 rear wheels on 67-72?
Just curious if anybody is running 20x12 rear wheels? Pics of these would be great. How much back spacing was allowed? Did you have to narrow rearend and install mini tub?

A 295/40/20 is about as big as you want to go with stock tubs in my opinion. Last edited by jkade; 04-13-2009 at 08:19 PM. |

The deeper the 'dish' you want, the less back-spacing you need. The less back-spacing you need, the more the rear-end needs to be shortened.
A stock width 67-69 12-bolt truck housing will work w/a 12" wheel w/about 7" of back-spacing. That's roughly a little more dish (or lip) than a stock 15x8" GM truck ralley. I plan to run 20x12's w/6" back-spacing so I'll be swapping in a housing that's 2" shorter than a 67-69 housing. As Jkade mentioned, mini-tubs are mandatory if your truck is low (tucking the wheels/tires).

I'm running 20x12's w/ 4" backspacing in the rear. Total width, outside to outside of disc, is 55 inches. Sorry i'm unable to get pics as my rearend just came back from the powdercoater.

I just came in from the shop & re-read what I wrote earlier while waiting for my welds to cool. I wanted to clarify that the housing I plan to use will be 2" shorter per side, so 4" overall.
