what I got....
hey folks, just thought I would share my Christmas joy...I got 3 Autometer gauges, The Painless gauge wiring harness, and three Painless indicator lights (for blinkers and high beams). As far as the gauges they are Ultralight in dash units, 5" tach and 2 5/8" oil pressure and fuel gauge. Now I just have to buy the speedometer, water temp, and trans temp.
I am soo pumped, I can't wait to install them. What did everyone else get...car/truck related of course. Merry X-mas everyone! -Jeff |

A t shirt that says "still plays with trucks......." and a tie tack in the shape of a Chevy bowtie with K5 in the center. Must be from the early 70's.
Happy Holidays!

I got my present before the holliday, since I had to go pick it out and pick it up. A nice roll away Craftsman tool box! Then I got Kelly (the wife) a billet grill for her '02 Silverado. Now to find time to install it.

I got nothing for the truck. But I did get some money that will be spent on the headers. I also got some gift certificates that I will be spending on a digital camera. I also got some tools, clothes, and some stuff for arouns the house.
The only thing I got truck related is some speaker boxes, but they aren't here yet. It was a nice Christmas though.

OK I bought a digital camera with some gift certificates I got and a check from good old grandpa I bought the Canon A40 (2.0 mega pixels). Not a super high quality camera, but it is very nice. It has many features I wanted, like burst mode (2.5 pictures every second), video mode (up to around 5 minutes @ 320 x 240), and TV out put (so you can plug it into any TV and view your pictures/movies). I like it very much and already killed the batteries that came with it. I hope to get some good pictures of my truck this weekend or next.
I have the AutoMeter Ultra-Lite gauges (silver ring with silver face) installed in my truck and I'll get a picture of those for you. They are installed over the bezel opposite of swervins. Most people don;t like them this way, but I really like the look of the ring/bezel on them. They also match my sterio and the interior trim I plan to add later. For the curious people heres a link to the camera I got and I would highly recommend it. http://www.powershot.com/powershot2/a40-30/index.html

I got money for truck stuff, so in reality I got: [4] 255/60/15 tires,
a hurst indy 4 speed shifter, a battery, a fuel system for the 78, new front fenders for the 79, and a 1 1/4" sway bar for the 79. Because I have those tires, I can now install the 5/6 drop kit [thats been sitting in the backyard for months] on the 79. Ah, christmas was good to me this year......

Mine was $249 which seems to be the standard price for it. I had $150 gift certificate so I only paid $100 for it. Then I bought a 128 MB card with another gift certificate. I played with this camera alot more this weekend. And I am happy with my purchase.
Tom when you installing that drop?
