spindle problem
i have the new modular spindle from classic perfomance. how much clearence should there be were the tie rod end and the wheel. it is not hitting but it is real close, i dont think a wheel weight would clear. and know you like pictures so here is one of the truck when i started on it a while back. thanks

Are you useing 15inch wheels?Some of those have clearance issues.You could try stick on weights.

That spacing is not unusual and like mentioned above, you might need to use stick on weights instead.

As Brad stated, that is completely nomal. some have even had to grind the tie rod head a bit. going with stick on weights is a must.

cool. i had thought about grinding the end of that it is preety solid. the wheels are wheel vintique 15x8 ralleys. no special offset. the springs are a 3 inch drop i think. thanks for the answers guys. i love this place.

When I first put my spindles on I couldnt figure out why my wheel would roll half way around and stop. There is little to no clearance between the tie rod end and my wheel

I would love a couple of pictures. I am planning to use those for my Blazer. What is your opinion of the product, and are there any other issues. I am also planning to go to 17" wheels, so I would assume that the tie rod/wheel clearance issue would not be there. Do these spindle really tuck the tires under the truck 1" per side as advertised?

i will take some. so far everything is going on good. i have not had any issues that you wouldnt have switiching a drum brake truck over to disc. i got one side done and does tuck the wheel good. you can tell that it is sitting farther back. i will make sure to get some measurments when i go out there to take the pictures.

If you are using a 3" drop spindle with the stock steel rallys they will rub on the lower control arm also. I have found if you want to stay with a steel wheel only use 2.5" drop spindles this will prevent rubbing issues. 17" wheels will cure it with the correct backspacing or stock backspacing.
