reverse and neutral safety switchs?
From what i can tell my truck was originally a 4 on the floor truck. The PO swapped it out to a TH350. It had a pretty craptastic floor shifter in it so I installed a B&M mega shifter and I want to hook up the reverse light and neutral safety switches. I'm just wondering where the switches are so I can get them hooked up? Any help would be great.

Re: reverse and neutral safety switchs?
You will have to get one from B&M for your floor shifter. The factory one mounts on the column.

Re: reverse and neutral safety switchs?
the b&m shifter should have come with a micro switch for the neutral safety, not sure about reverse lights. The factory switch is at the base of the steering column inside the cab. you can lengthen the wires from there to your b&m.

Re: reverse and neutral safety switchs?
his truck won't have the wires for a neutral safe switch since it was a 4 speed. They were not equipped at all. The wires for the back up lights are probably under the truck.
If you want a NSS, then you can tap into the purple wire off your ignition switch. You'll need to extend it, but you snip the purple up under the dash, extend it and run it to the NSS on your new shifter, then run a wire from the other side of that switch back up to the other half of the wire you cut. |

oh, and once you locate the plug for the back up lights, do it the same way.

Re: reverse and neutral safety switchs?
Do you have any idea which side of the trans the plug would've been on? When I installed the shifter i removed the hump and didn't see a plug any where, but I was in a hurry getting it back together. This is my daily and it was getting pretty dark. And yes the shifter did come withe the NSS and Reverse switch on it I just wanted to get it hooked up. At least hook up the reverse lights.
