Ebay 32K 72 Super - ???? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I was surfing I found this truck. Being a member of the "factory stock" club (

) I am drawn to low mile or all original trucks. After viewing the pictures, I doubt that this is truly a 32K survivor. To me a 32K mile truck would not need the following items that this truck has : new seat cover - not to mention it's the wrong color, new glovebox and bezel applique and steering wheel. What do you guys think?!?

Thats a nice truck. 32k original miles ? Who knows. Maybe 132k ? The starting bid is 5k, I wonder how much it will fetch ?

I would doubt the mileage. I believe the woodgrain dash pieces are aftermarket, the gauge lens is aftermarket, it looks like some outside trim doesn't line up very well. It also makes me wonder why the speedo gauge is faded so much compared to the other gauges? It is a nice truck, but too many things have been changed to be a low mileage original in my opinion.

Looks like it has been restored. There is a dent under the door trim that just shows and no rust.

Ringgold, Georgia is just south of chattanooga, maybe 10 miles or so.
A board member lives there.
I can't remember the guys name, but his board name is fast71, i think. He had a beautiful dark green short fleet truck, that he sold a few years ago. Any way if you could get in touch with him, maybe he could check it out for you. come to think of it, it may be him that has this truck.

It sure does have that "I have been restored" look to it. Red trucks to me always make me second guess the "original" factor. I know they made lots of red trucks, but it seems like most red trucks you see were originally some other color. Also, I believe the glove box door on a red "super" would have been painted black. Would be nice to see the SPID.

Hey guys, just FYI.. I believe my truck to have original paint and has 69k miles on it.. I was very upset that the seller buffed it for me before I picked it up, but I tell you what, this old paint really wakes up with a good buff and shine. Mine shines just like this one. Also, the vents, I am no pro, i am new here, but I believe that the color matching is correct, mine are the same color as the inside of the cab, not black.

Well, I once thought that I had about the nicest original truck, looks like I'm wrong... If I'd be a betting man, I'd bet that this sells for at least 12k
