Re: disc brake rubber to hard line??
The tabs are located on the front of the crossmember at the bottom. If you are using the lines from the '72, which are routed differently than the '69, follow the lines and mount the tabs at the end.

Re: disc brake rubber to hard line??
If i recall correctly he only replaced the UCA, LCA's and drag links etc. the crossmember was not replaced because the engine was still in the truck. I will see if i can snap some pics shortly.

Re: disc brake rubber to hard line??
you could probably saw-zall or use a cutting wheel to get it off. Does you buddy still have the suburban xmember, maybe you could just cuti it off of that xmember

Re: disc brake rubber to hard line??
rlm316, thats a good idea! where did you get those long brake lines form? i htink im going to have to end up getting longer lines.
My67chevytruck- yes he does, i think i will go get it. by the way, can an allignment shop move the tires up and down? it seems like the tires ar cupped in a lot on the drivers side but no tso much on the passenger side.... but any way, thanks for the help so far! its greatly apperciated!

Re: disc brake rubber to hard line??
an alignment shop should be able to adjust the caster and camber and get you setup correctly. You should always have the alignment checked/set when doing something like you have done to the front end. Good luck with your project.

Re: disc brake rubber to hard line??
ok, i planned on taking it down to an allignment shop first thing when it done.
Do you think that if i got the rubber lines for a 4x4, would they be longer than the swd ones? i think the 2wd ones that i got from right stuff are too short.

Re: disc brake rubber to hard line??
The rubber lines are for the '91 donor brake system. The hard lines are for a 72 with some modification to go to that spot.
