so usually i wouldn't be asking a silly question like this but i want to make sure i have every tool i need to pull a front end a rear end booster and box from a truck this week seeing as I have to drive 2 hours one way to get to it. so any help would be great. also any problems any of you have ran into while pulling the front end that you could give me tips on would be great. I can pack my yukon full of stuff i just want to make sure it all goes smooth. thanks guys

Re: what do i need
If you have power take you air comp, impact gun and a die grinder w/zip cutter
No power ? I'm thinkin' cutting torch Side cutters (for brake lines etc) A pallet to drop the fully dressed x-member onto(I chained it up to my truck and dragged it out sideways, the pallet will save your backing plates as they bend easily) Keep in mind the front clip is extremely HEAVY,7 bolts each side and it'll drop right out Ifthe motors still in it you might want to take it apart piece by piece you don't want to be under there when the last bolt comes out T

Re: what do i need
With what everyone else has mentioned and what you're showing, looks like you've pretty much got it. Couple things I didn't see mentioned is a catch pan for fluids, hand cleaner and towels/rags. It is always nice to have help when tackling something like this, so if you have a friend with a strong back. And if you do end up dismantling the front suspension, watch out for those springs, they'll getcha if you aren't careful.

Re: what do i need
If you just need to get it home, some issues could be dealt with later, I guess. In your pile of stuff I didnt see a hand sledge (aka=BFH) and a pickle fork. Also if you have pullers; could be handy. Of course you could disassemble big sections of parts and not deal with little issues. EG: Unbolt idler and steering box....pop the tie rods and take it out in one piece....and try not to smash a finger carrying it to the truck.....you get the picture, Im sure. Good luck.
