Windshield Channel Repair Question - Does This Gap Have A Purpose?
Does anyone know if this spot in the windshield channel serves a purpose? I'm working on repairing the rust in the lower windshield channel and there is about 1/2" gap in the seam in the bottom corner on each side of the window. I was going to just weld in one solid piece for the whole corner repair, but didn't know if this was for some type of a drain or something and if it would matter if it was filled in.
My guess is that it's ok to fill in and was just the way the cab was put together, but its easier to ask now rather than find out otherwise later. Thanks - Chad

Yep its a joint where everything comes together, not a drain. You can weld it up and smooth it out with no worries about the fit of the windshield.

Cool, that's what I thought. Just wanted to make sure before I welded everything up.
Thanks - Chad
