Survived the plasma weekend

Rented a Powermax 30

Nice little plasma cutter. Does 110v up to 20 Amp and 220 up to 30amp
Works like a dream. Wish it fell off the truck! lol

Scalp is burnt. Arm is burnt. Garage almost went up but all is good now.

Holes are mint. cut the six holes out for the air bags in the frame.
Cutting overhead is always fun but that plasma shoots some serious slag.
One even found the smallest of small hole at the side of my cutting goggles and burnt my eye lid......

Tonight we bolt up the bags and get this thing going on two wheels....

Lets ride..

Re: Survived the plasma weekend

you should be more careful.

Remember gravity when using things that burn and drop parts.
I used a plasma all weekend making a power hammer with a buddy.

No body got a single burn.

Here it is. Not done yet, but almost.

That thing is cool heidesign. You should post more about it in the Alternate Tinkerings section of this forum. I know there's others who would like to hear more about it.

The technical term for re-hot flying slag is "Fry-Balls". Be careful!
