Unhappy Wrong Kickdown Cable Help?

I recently ordered a universal throttle cable and an 700r4 kickdown cable from Lokar to replace my current setup. I thought I had an 700R4 trans...

I think I ordered the wrong kickdown cable ... the TV cable tube that slips into transmission is smaller than the Lokar 700R4 kickdown I purchased.

Do I have a different transmission than I thought?(700R4)

Do I have an 4L60?

Are KD cables different from the 700r4 to 4L60?

Thanks for any help...

Any chance the trans could be a 200r4? I don't really know the differences in them, if there are any. Anyways, this will get your post back to the top..

Re: Wrong Kickdown Cable Help?

did you tell them it was an overdrive? If you just said kickdown cable, it's probably for a 3 speed. they were called TV cables on the 4 speeds.

Re: Wrong Kickdown Cable Help?

Upon further inspection I still think it may be an 700R4.

The serial number in passenger side corner is 4YK147BT anh housing hax MD8 on bell housing...from serial number its a 1984 model

any clues what is the right kick down cable?

Yeah it's an overdrive...

Do I need an Lokar TV cable for an 700r4?

Re: Wrong Kickdown Cable Help?

Does it have a vacuum modulator? 700r4 has no modulator, 200r4 should have an extra set of bolt flanges at the top for BOP applications. Take a picture of the trans pan, then someone here can tell you what you have.
