American auto wire
Well I just got my new Harness for my 1970 Chevy Blazer. I guess my question is, has anyone Installed this Before? I heard it's new to the Market. I thought it would be a little more "Plug and Play", And a lot of the connectors still need to be soldered on. And turns out I've got way to many holes in the firewall. Anyone got any tips on this kit?

Re: American auto wire
i did one that is sorta like this. it was a pain and took a while but i was never happier when she fired up
just make sure that you run one wire at a time until you get them all run and the holes in the fire wall are for other things very few wires went through anywhere but the harness area. |

Re: American auto wire
Just follow the directions and you will be fine. The trade off to a more plug and play harness is the cost. They do not have all the labor in assmebling each harness, which allows them to sell the kit for roughly half what it would cost if it was ready to install. Plus you get a new style fuse box, and can be adapted to aftermarket gauges, a/c, and other optional accessories.

Re: American auto wire
I have one. Its beutiful... finest materials. They dont put the end connections on so you can rerout for a neater or custom setup. Also, if you got the Classic update kit, you have room for stuff like electric fans, big fuel pumps etc.

Re: American auto wire
Plug and play harnesses will set you back $850 or more depending on options
