Summer of '79
Hi guys I thought you might like to see an old pic.
Here's a picture of me and my first new vehicle. I purchased it new in September of '77, I traded in a Marina Blue 67 Camaro. This picture is from the summer of '79 as the title says. I think it's the only picture of it I have. I cut one coil out of each front spring and removed the overload helper springs and two other leafs to get the stance. Installed a snap tonneau cover. The paint was done at the dealership before I bought it, by a guy who use to travel through the area and do a few each time he came by. I really liked (loved) this truck and wish I had never traded it in on the next new car a long gone '79 Chrysler Cordoba with fine Corinthian Leather!. The power train was 350 4bbl with turbo 350. I don't remember the rear specs but it pulled a 17' fiberglass boat for all of one summer and it did great job going up the hills. |

I didn't know Stacey David posted on here!
Seriously, cool pictures. It's always great to see these trucks when they were new. My dad had a '74 when I was a really young kid (I am 35) and it peeks out in some pictures from then. |
