Stainless Steel Headers for SBC
I have for sale a set of Stainless Steel Headers for SBC in 1988-98 trucks and am asking $75.00 OBO plus actual shipping. I bought this set of headers for a 69 Chevy truck, but they would not fit due to them contacting the frame rails. These have never been used but there is a few issues with them that I feel needs to be mentioned. As stated before, I was trying to get these to fit a 69 Chevy, the passenger side fit with no problems, the driver side was the problem. These are mid length headers and the exhaust flange on the driver side was contacting the inside of the frame rail. I dented the pipes on the bottom sides near the head and near the collector in an attempt to get the exhaust flange to pull in closer to the engine block. All efforts failed to get them to bend so I had to go another route. The dents placed in the driver side header will not effect it's functionality and from the engine compartment, they will not be noticable. These are new and include the mounting bolts and collectors and I paid over $250.00 for them. Respond in thread if interested. I will get photos of the headers and the dents mentioned above in a day or two. Thanks, Jeff.

Re: Stainless Steel Headers for SBC
Okay, I dug them out of storage today...but then it started raining so I did not get pics yet. I do not know what brand these headers are, the box they came in says kmc or something similar to that. I also notice a couple of things missing... I have the collectors and the headers, but am missing all the bolts and the collector flanges. I talked to my friend that has access to my storage, he took them to replace the headers on his truck. I will do my best to get pics tomorrow, so remember, these are the headers and collectors, no bolts, no collector flanges (flanges are still on the headers and they are the run of the mill 3" 3 bolt pattern flanges). If these gliches have made you lose interest, I understand, if not I will keep everyone in order by their response to this add. Sorry about the missing pieces did not buddy had helped himself to my stash of parts.

Re: Stainless Steel Headers for SBC
I guess I will pass for now, maybe the information you have posted is enough for someone else to buy these headers. Good luck with your sale, stainless headers for 75.00 is a excellent price, I just needed a picture to make sure they would be a exact replacement for the pace setter ones I have on my truck. Thanks anyway, James.

Re: Stainless Steel Headers for SBC
pic 1 is of dented area on driver side header, was dented in an attempt to gain clearance where it was closest to frame rail.
pic 2 is close up of dented area (should be near impossible to see from engine compartment). pic 3 and 4 all items included in sale pic 5 is close up of driver side bung for O2 sensor, includes plug if not needed for your application. Sorry it took so long to get pics uploaded! |

Re: Stainless Steel Headers for SBC
I don't know what brand they are, may have a part number on the box will have to look. They are designed to fit 88-98 chevy trucks with sbc. They will not hook up to factory exhaust without some modifications.

I am changing the price to $85.00 shipped to your door (as long as it is in the lower 48). That way I don't have to screw with shipping quotes, and if you truly want them you know up front the costs. |

Re: Stainless Steel Headers for SBC
No, no idea who made them, don't know part number, only know they are stainless steel, have thick exhaust flanges where they bolt to the head (3/8" I think), have a driver side bung for an O2 sensor and a plug for it if it is not needed, have standard 3" 3 bolt collector flange, are designed to fit 88 to 98 chevy trucks with small block chevy, and are brand new never ran (have been test fitted)....that is all I know about them. I am sure whoever buys them will be very happy with them.
