how well would this work lol
my brother sent me this...it seams like it would work ...but instead of ice i would just use ice packs...cuz i got like 100 of them lol and instead of computer fans i would just have a detachable hose hook up to my fan vet in my truck and i have a 12volt mini fridge that i dont use that i would use instead of a cooler so then it would stay cool...i can not stress this enough...this is just a thought....but i want your guys opinion on it here is the link

Re: how well would this work lol
That was funny.
This is like a swamp cooler...just on a smaller scale. I am not too surprised that it works, just don't know that it is all that efficient. But great creativity by whoever came up with it. So...show us your crazy creation of the sort. Have you masked it off with wrapping paper and bomb canned it yet? What are you going to mount it to & with?

Re: how well would this work lol
They work a friend of mine made one to use in his wrecker since it didnt have ac, worked pretty good minus the ice constantly melting.
I dont have pictures but he recently put factory ac in the truck so his was temporary for last summer. |

That setup is a cheaper version of one used in racing. The driver has a vent hose going from the cooler to his helmet or driving suit. They actually work quite well.

Re: how well would this work lol
just a quick question..
why don youset it up like a radiator set up? have an ice resovoin, a cheapie 12v electric pump, small radiator...(old heatercore!) some lines and a few small high CFM computer fans? if you keep the ice water rotating it'll stay cold for while.. you can alsomake this all fit into one of those little tote along coolers... dude if you put this much effort into school or work you'd be set for life.... just my two cents..
