Front End Question..

Name: small.jpg

Here's my 67...with a 69-70 front end

I know the hood is different, but do I have to get new fenders to switch to a 67 grille? What else, do I need to change...radiator and grille support?

Thanks for your help

Re: Front End Question..

you need 67/68 fenders, the rad. support is different ive read something that you can modify it to work by removing the buckets that the lights mount to and drilling some holes. the grill support and hood latch is also different

Re: Front End Question..

It would be best to swap the whole front sheetmetal and sell yours I would think. That's if you don't have another truck waiting for that nose.

The funny thing is that someone else may have swapped noses years ago to make the truck look "newer". Or it was put on in the case of wreck damage.

Re: Front End Question..

see if he has a hood for you too... and wouldn't be a bad idea to get the inner fenders too. I've found with installing used fenders, it is always easier with the inner fenders that came with the fender.

Thanks, I'll see if they're even there, and if they're in the same shape or beter as mine, I'll grab them too.

You're right, also not a 67 bed and YES those are marker lights...will be covering those probably when I cover the marker lights in the fenders.

Re: Front End Question..

Well, 700 miles round trip yesterday, and GUS didn't even bat an eye at the trip...middle of the day, SouthEastern NC, hot as could be and no worries driving this great truck!!!

The guy threw in the inner fenders and another dash for me, too.

I'll need to do a little work before putting this clip on...going to replace the typical stuff...battery tray and bottom of the rad. support under battery tray...I see that LMC offers a lower rear patch panel for the fenders...does anyone know if snyone makes a lower front? Or should I be off to fab one up?

OH, and I still need a 67/68 Hood...if anyone knows of one in NC/SC Western Tenn. or Northern Georgia...let me know.
Here's a pic of GUS hauling his new smile...
