Absolutely. I just turned a set of 71 pickup doors into 72 blazer doors. I used to have to do this yearly on my rock crawler. I will try to get some pics up this weekend. If you look in the factory assembly manual this is what they did at the factory. I believe all blazer doors were born as truck doors.

I know 72 are different. How do you turn other year doors in to 72 doors.

The main difference is there is a small screw hole by the vent window, I don't think that there is any other major differences, But I may be wrong.

Yep, to my knowledge just the screw hole is different on a 72. Blazer doors also have an aditional support plate around the latch. It is a simple conversion. Good blazer doors seem to be next to impossible to find. I will try to post pics of my doors this weekend.

so you just drill the hole and that is it? It kinda recessed in the door. if i remember correctly.

As far as the window frame, remove your plastic pieces and cut off frame just like your blazer door. For the hole I cut the area out off my original doors and welded into my "new" doors. You will have to drill a hole into the lip on the outer skin and install the little clip for the screw. If you look at your doors you will see it is pretty self explanatory. For the latch reinforcement drill out the spotwelds to remove plate and weld to your door. Even if you haven't done bodywork if you look at how the factory modified the original doors you will see that it is fairly simple to modify truck doors. Sorry I didn't have more step by step pics. I was in a hurry to get them done and didn't take as many as I should have.

Thanks for passing that on VT. I hadn't thought about doing a thread when I did mine. I will have to keep that in mind for future mods on my blazer!
