Big block accesory brackets

I looked at a 69 yesterday with a big block and factory air. All the air brackets on the engine were gone.

Curious what seems to be the going rate on a set of brackets to bring this back to stock so I can hook up the air again.

Just look in the major catalogs like LMC Truck, GMC Pauls....etc. You can also go on eBay and look around. I'm guessing not cheap those since I sold a triple groove crank pully alone and got $113 for it. It was for short water pump those and I don't think that's even what you are talking about. Maybe the later year stuff works? Don't know cuz my A/C is both windows down and 80mph!

I shoulda kept the ones off that old burb I sold a couple years ago =)

Ok, thanks guys. I still need to negotiate final price with this guy on the truck. I needed some ideas on price so I can make him a fair offer for both of us.

Re: Big block accesory brackets

I have a set from the truck 402 below that I put in my old 69 SS Chevelle, They are not worth a whole lot to me (definately not $250.00) Get some pics of the brackets you need and I will dig through the basement, maybe I can help a guy out in these financially troubling times

Re: Big block accesory brackets

If you switch it out to long water pump they are cheap, if you stay with the short water pump they can get real expensive.

Re: Big block accesory brackets

that set up would require swapping to the long water pump, running wires to the other side of the engine, and possibly a custom fan shroud

Are you talking about the setup on the engine I posted above?

I just looked at it a little closer, isn't the A/C compressor on the passenger side on 67-72? If so I will have the more common drivers brackets I think, I will look tonight and see if I can find them...

That is correct, that is not the proper 68 - 71, nor the correct 72 big block truck parts. that is the long water pump set up that places the Alt on the wrong side, the a/c on the wrong side, and the power steering in the wrong location.
It'll ge the job done, but it isn't just an install it and go set up.
