Re: What did you get done 6/29/09 edition
I got red overspray on my dad's black truck while painting the tractor so i spent all day with the old clay bar getting it all off and polishing and waxing his truck. It wasnt really bad, but bad enough the microfiber towels on it felt like sandpaper. It's all smooth now though, and back to being black again. I don't know exactly how it happened, but he's gonna park way out there if I'm painting.

Re: What did you get done 6/29/09 edition
put a new fuel pump, fuel hose and a new fuel filter after the gas tank on my truck, then went to a youth evangelism conference, got closer to the lord, and then hooked the parking brake back up

Replaced both radiator hoses, put in a 165 thermostat and installed the steering wheel my wife bought me for my b-day.

Took my wife for her first ride in the 87 diesel. She's unimpressed but polite.
Bought the intake gaskets for the 5.3 in the 99. More siding on the parts shed. I have this week off so maybe I'll finish it. Hung closet doors. Today, blinds, then clean the room and start moving the kids in in preperation for the next room on the list!

Changed the oil in my sister car and spent several hours trying to track down an LS1 and a 91-92 Firebird to use for parts for my LS1 GTA project. found the parts car but no engine yet.

Cut the grass with my new John Deere! Popped off one of the switches for the plow package to relocate it to the fire wall. Both bolts and nuts stripped. Had to hack em off....while trying to enjoy a drink and Rocky Patel.

Re: What did you get done 6/29/09 edition
Holy crap it was hot here! I went out for my birthday on Friday. Took my wife, daughter, and two of here friends to Carrabba's for dinner. We went to see Transformers after that. The dinner was awesome. I can't say the same for the movie. Not bad, but no where near as good as the first one.
Saturday got up early and took my pool filter apart"again". I had just rebuilt it, but it was leaking at the seal. So I cleaned it out again, and got it to seal. The rest of the day I ran service calls. Sunday was spent in the heat working on my yard. The landscapers and I cleaned the beds and ended up with 10-12 bags of trimmings. I spent a couple hours adjusting my sprinkler system trying to cover areas that were burnt up. I gave up at mid day and went inside.

Re: What did you get done 6/29/09 edition
Yard work...
went to local upullit and grabbed a serpentine setup off a 90 burb for a friend. Took my boy to see transformers 2, I was ready for it to be over...not that good. Had to move my tranny cooler, never noticed my hood latch was hitting it, dropped it an inch, all is well. My new hood release cable went wacko and I could not get hood open, looks like the inside cable is slipping ? Anyone have or know where I can get that little hood release holder clamp thingy that mounts to inner fenderwell?

I changed my oil and I discovered that I have a drum that is making a CLUNK when I press on the brakes. The mystery continues...........
