what should voltage be WHILE CRANKING?
So if the battery shows 12v when truck is off, what should it be while cranking?

I don't like seeing it drop below ten, but the reality of it is... it can go low, as long as it starts, and it has enough amps to roll over at a decent pace.

10.5 is usually the limit and i personally wouldnt want it going much lower.

Crank it for 15 seconds and voltage should not go below 9.6.

If you have a TPI unit they say it needs to stay above 11 volts to crank. I know you have to cut the factory coil wire out and replace it with straight wire. The factory has a resistants built into it to drop the voltage.
