Are you using the LEDs that replace the bulbs? The ones that I have seen are available in single contact to replace a 1156 single element bulb and also in double contact to replace the 1157 double element brake/turnsignal and tail light bulb.

Try www.ledtronics.com. They have a division that sells to individuals, and I have forgotten the name of it. Excellent LED bulb assemblies. I have them in the rear of my truck. Nice, bright light, and especially bright when I hit the brakes, or turn signals.

Whatever you do, DON'T use the APC replacements. I couldn't get them to fit into the sockets of my parking lights without using a ball-pein hammer to "massage" the opening. Then, they didn't shine for diddly. The stock bulbs are much brighter than APC LED bulbs.

Ledtronic bulbs were almost $100 for a pair. APC's were less than $20 for a pair, but useless in my book.

Hey, it's just money and I don't want my kids fighting over it when I die. So, I'm just gonna have to spend it and save them all that hassle. Ain't I nice?

I think I know what info you want. Are you just speaking of your taillights right? You want a seperate turn signal from your brake lights? Like amber turn signals in the back? Because if the LEDs your tring to use have a resistor on the whole board for the parking function, they should work with the brakes as well, as long as they are wired into the harness right.

ChevLoRay I've seen the LED 1157 bulb replacements you speak of, they're the best standard bulb replacements available. But thats still very expensive for the number of LEDs used in them. You seen our tail inserts. Cheaper.

Explain to me how the LED board looks? How many wires does it have coming of the board? Do all the LED light up together? If you give me more info I can help. I just need to know more about the board layout.

how many wires are comming off of your lights?....the tail lights should use 1 wire, and the brake lights and turn signals are on 1 wire together and split in the column. My tail lights on my truck have 3 wires comming off of them, 1 for ground, 1 for tail lights, and 1 for brake lights and turn sigs.

Ok when you test the wires putting the ground to negative on battery, red wire to postive do all the leds on the board light up? Next thing is either way you should be able to wire the red wire to the parking wire of the factory harness, and the yellow wire to the turn/brake wire of the factory rear harness. Should work. Do you have pictures of the LED board.
