whats the diff

what is the differance of a 69 4x4 frame and a 72 4x4 frame besides the e brake set up any

Stock 72's had disc brakes and open knuckle front ends. 69's are drums up front with a closed knuckle.

thanks for info the reason i asked was i just bought a 69 it has disc brakes and a divorced transfercase and it all looks factory

I am thinking they are the same and that the diff is the 67's are diff then 68-72's. I could be wrong. Someone will know this.

in 71, they went to a stronger and lighter steel. Not that you can SEE that.
Moving it to the 4X4 side.
