Exhaust question
In the near future, I'll be taking my Truck in to get some new tips/hangers ect.
I've seen on other Hot Rods (forgive me it the verbage is not correct), but they have "Cut-Outs" hooked in with the exhaust. I'm assuming it replaces the tireless chore of getting under the vehicle and manually unbolting/uncapping the Headers. So then (after installattion), if you want to uncap the Headers you just flick a switch or pull a cable and the exhaust is routed right from the Header out this opening. I'm looking for: 1)What its called? 2)Do you have it on YOUR Truck? 3)How does it sound? 4)What was the cost? Pictures would be an added extra too!  Roger "RATIKLE"

what you are after are manual or electronic exhaust cut-outs

Electric would be cool but if you ever have failure then it's broke and I"assume" expensive to fix.A cable should be available anywhere and easy to replace.This is just my opinion and I really like things simple(to match my mind).

I saw somewhere that the electric ones have a plastic gear that melts and has to be replaced.

The cable type does not seal well and the diverter fap inside will rattle and clang as the cable lossens up. I had a set in high school and while cool the cable type are not worth the headache.
