I have a new CD player to put in my truck....Where can i put it, to maintain the Good looks of the interior, without building a console
Ideas are very appreciated..Is the Roddoors.com Headliner with cd player pod any good??

and what the heck is a DIN mounted stereo....

THis says it needs a standard DIN mounted stereo????

I believe that DIN means that there is a knob on each side of the deck, and it will fit into our stock cutouts!

I cut mine though and put a nice new one in, and it looks sweet!!!

It is just the opposite. The DIN opening is the one that is rectangular without knob shaft holes.

try the glove box,
have you seen the steering wheel horn buttons with controls,
this would let you put it any where under the seat etc,
I'm gonna cut my dash most likely

yeah DIN is the small rectangular size, double DIN is jsut that, a rectangle that is the smae size as stacking two decks...

A din cradle is the rectangular sleeve the head unit slides into. There are single din stereos like most of us have, and there are double din stereos that are the size of the stereos in Ford F150's. Don't worry about that, your's is a single din unit and will work fine, but I would use a carbide bit and a Dremel to cut the dash. That way it is a very clean cut.

Here's what I did, it' makes it easy to steal, but if you get creative, you can box it in. I'ts made out of a 4" strip of channel alluminum that I found in the junk.

I have factory buckets and plan on putting it in the center console. The glovebox would be a good place also, but I don't think it will fit if you have factory A/C. I don't, so not sure about that. I personally don't like the headlinner deal, seems to invite people to "look what I got, you want it?"lol

I was going to mount my CD changer in the glove box but I would have had to cut out the back of the box to get it in. I bought the kind with all the controls in the radio that would mount in the stock holes. I ended up putting the CD changer under the seat on the passenger side. This worked good for my Suburban.
