Trailing Arm Question

Are the trailing arms for a 1/2 ton the same size and fit as a 3/4 ton? Or is there a difference in the two?

Same size and fit, the only difference is that the 3/4 ton arms have a stiffener built into the rear where the "U" bolts go through.

Re: Trailing Arm Question

In the pic it almost looks like there is a plate on the bottom of the arm too. Much appreciated, thanks for the pic.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

It is and it's longer. It runs about 3/4s the lenghth of the trailing arm, back to frontl.

Re: Trailing Arm Question

Sounds like we should all be running 3/4 ton trailing arms then. They should be much stronger and resist pulling apart better.

Actually, the truck was only in NY for about 4 yrs so far, the rest were Kentucky years. But,...the salt up here is super potent. (I think they have it on performance enhancing substances.)

They look decent. I personally like the AirRide Tech tubular truck arms better vs. CPP's part tubular, part plate version. ECE's square tube arms are also very nice....

That being said, they don't do anything a stock OE truck arm can't do.
