99 Blazer hatch issue
I load everything into the hatch of my 99 Blazer. After work the other day I open up the hatch and stuff my tools and junk in and close it up. Then I decide to grab an extra shirt to change for the ride home and the hatch wont open!!!! It's not locked, but wont release after pushing the button.
Anybody have this issue or have any clues to how to get it to work?? The truck is worthless if I cant open it up. Thanx for any help.....

Re: 99 Blazer hatch issue
I posted up a similar question with no response a while back....
Try putting a new battery in the key fob. I know it sounds weird, but mine was acting very much like yours...wouldn't even open with the button on the dash. I had all but given up hope of using it again. Then my fob got to the point it wouldn't even unlock the doors, so I changed the battery in it. Low & behold, the hatch works perfect now using the dash button, or the fob to open it. Go figure. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=294310

Re: 99 Blazer hatch issue
these can get very tricky to diagnose. I would love to help but due to the complexity of the system it is best to do it in person.
maybe you can get a diagram from Autozone? |

Re: 99 Blazer hatch issue
Can you hear the hatch trying to release? When mine does this I pull on the hatch while pushing the button to open it. Hold the button down and keep pulling it should open.
