early X-over steering

Those of you that kept the closed knuckle axles in the front of your early 60's 4x4, if you put in power steering did you keep the original drag link or put in the later stuff with the doner steering box, did you use a long or short pitman arm, and have any of you put in a x-over steering system with the closed knuckle, if so where did you get steering arms for it? Thanks in advance, cheers, Larry

Re: early X-over steering

Cross over steering can not be used with a closed knuckle front axle, you need a d44 flatop axle or d60 axle and a 2wd steering box, plus the closed knuckle has drum brakes the other two axles have disc brakes then you would have to change the master cylinder also.
