Bench Seat adjustment spring?
A spring popped off under my bench seat ('69 pickup) for the forward and back seat adjustment. Every now and then when I am driving the seat moves and I pop the lever back into place but I need to fix this. Not sure where I am supposed to reconnect the spring? Hopefully this makes sense. I pick would be nice so I could see a connected spring. Thanks.

Re: Bench Seat adjustment spring?
You will want to reconnect the spring that came off. Is it the small one that pulls the lever back or is it the large one that assists the seat to slide?

Re: Bench Seat adjustment spring?
I don't see any springs attached. I think the spring I found is probably the larger one. I can take a pic of it if it will help. I can put the lever in place but if I hit a bump in the road it comes loose and the seat moves etc...

Re: Bench Seat adjustment spring?
You may be missing the spring for the lever. Here is a picture of the spring that holds the lever in position. Also, the larger seat assist spring is shown.
If you don't have the small spring, check with your local hardware as they may have a selection. (My local ACE Hardware has almost the exact spring in their selection). Jim

Re: Bench Seat adjustment spring?
Ok yes I have the small spring for the lever (forward and backward adjustment). I see how it attaches. I may need the big spring. I will look for it in the cab. Do you have a pic of the big spring attached? I really appreciate your help.

Re: Bench Seat adjustment spring?
On my 67 the longer spring is bolted to a bracket on the floor. It runs from there to the drivers front seat bracket. But the truck has been through a lot and this might not be original or correct.

Re: Bench Seat adjustment spring?
I looked at my 72 and the long spring is not there. Sorry.
