sanden compressor

i just got back from carlisle and seen a bunch of guys using the sanden type compressor for air ride compressors, how do they work and how do you keep the oil in them.dfo they not need loil? thanks for any help. JOE

They do need oil in them, and a way to trap the oil that blows by (a water trap works just fine). As far as engine driven compressors go, the York 210 is a much better option (as I've been told) but I do not know the pros and cons. I believe the Sandens have more blow by, but I'm not really sure. What I do know is that I have been around electric compressors, and they don't even compare to the York 210 that I have. As with any engine driven compressor, you will need to continually add oil and empty the water trap periodically.
