Sport mirror repair
I think I can get a replacement piece of glass/mirror no problem but on one mirror the ball that the mirror swivels on is jacked up. It looks like that part might unscrew from the base and could possibly be replaced. Anyone have a clue what I am talking about?

Re: Sport mirror repair
Yes it is original from a 72. The ball on the passenger side is fine just needs new glass/mirror.

Re: Sport mirror repair
Reviving an old thread here. Does anyone know how the sport mirror attaches to its arm? Once the two pieces/halves are separated can they be re-attached? Or is the mirror basically ruined?

Re: Sport mirror repair
It's pressed in, found this out when I wanted to make an extension to my passenger side mirror. I was able to pull mine out, add an extension then pressed it back in. Wasn't easy and I can't remember how I did it, been a few years.
