help with fan shroud
ok i thought the original fan shroud would fit but it didnt!
the reason for that is cause i have a differnt radiator (pro comp full core radiator) so i ahd to move the radiator brackets closer to eachother to hold my new radiator! so now im looking for a shroud that would bolt on to this length of my radiator brackets! has anyone ever done this? were can i get a shroud? |

Will the shroud physically fit but the tabs are just in the wrong spot? Or will the shroud not physically fit AND the tabs are in the wrong spot?

get some aluminum and fabricate a new shroud// original shroud with the elec fan aint going to do much

You have those brackets sitting even further in that the standard radiator you may have trouble finding a shroud to fit that, fabricating something is an option...as has already been said.

I didn't even notice the electric fan. Yeah in that case an aluminum shroud would be the way to go. Even with that you will have to do some fabbing. Check out these shrouds.....

A factory shroud will not do you any good with the electric fan sitting in it. What I did was to build a square sheet metal shroud like the ones JEG's sells that covers the enitre core and mounted my electric fan to that. That way, the fan is pulling air through the entire core, not just the round area where the fan is mounted to the core.

Why do you think you need a shroud with a push fan and a pull fan? Will the shroud make that much difference?

Also, that radiator is quite narrow. I would have gone with a wider radiator so that the core was the same size (or slight larger) than the opening in the core support. That way, you are effectively using all of the available space you have there and getting the biggest core that will fit on that core support. However, I also agree with 71tahoe, if you have no cooling problems, then why modify it any further? With one fan pulling and one pushing, it might be ok as is.
