Re: seat help
back to the top for you...
First post! Welcome to the site. Re: what's needed.. I don't believe there's any one way to do it. Basically, everyone has done it there own way. Your best bet is to measure as well as you can or stick it in the truck to see if it will fit and then just rig your own mounts for it. I used the rear seat from an 86 quad cab for my 68 until I find or rebuild an original. I took the mounts off my old seat and swapped them to the 86 one. Others have just put the seat in and cut or welded up their own seat mounts. |

Re: seat help
first step would b open the door and take the old one out //second take the new one put it in the cab to see how it fits as far as ride height mount alignment etc// then you cut fit and drill whatever is needed to make it sit the way you want

Re: seat help
I put '03 40/20/40 buckets w/ integrated seat-belts into my '67. It really wasn't that difficult. I removed the old seat and belts, set in the new seats and marked for the new holes I had to drill. On the outside-front mounting holes, I fabbed up some 3/4" spacers out of 1" square tubing and a couple washers all welded together. Under the floor I made some 4" x 4" x 3/16" reinforcing plates to keep the bolts from tearing through in the event of a fender-bender. That was about all there was too it.
Check it out!
