I believe the headers im running are for a 454 they are 3" collectors. They hang a little low but it works. Sorry i dont know the brand.

I'm curious why you need 2" or bigger. What are the specs on your engine? Must be a behemoth. Lot's of cubes and a blower maybe?

Port size and tube size are two different things. I agree it is a good thing that the header flange matches the port on the head, but that does not mean the primary tube has to have the same cross-section area. Unless you are running larger than 1.88" exhaust valves and lots of lift, a 1-7/8" primary is the max you should need. Any larger will probably hurt flow velocity.

yeah... what he said!

a well tuned exhaust is just as benificial as a well tuned carb!

if you are wanting the absulute most out of your combination, do a search for pipemax header design... it will be an educational journey
