2 questions on 350 turbos
MY FIRST QUESTION IS,
1. WHERE CAN I BUY A SPEEDOMETER GEAR TO CORRECT THE MPH IN MY TRANS ? I HAVE GONE DOWN TO 60 SERIES 275/60X15 TIRES AND MY SPEEDO IS READING FAST BY 3-4 MPH. 2. WHERE MY SPEEDOMTER cable hooks up to trans. the threaded part that cable hooks to is loose and seaps a little fluid. since i,am gonna be swapping a speedo gear how can i correct this loose problem ? my speedo works good and it being loose doesnt seem to hurt anything but i just want to make it right. THANKS FOR ALL HELP BOB

Re: 2 questions on 350 turbos
Here is a link to TCI for the gears....http://www.tciauto.com/Products/Comp...eter_gears.asp
you can find out most answers you have there about transmissions...I think I would buy the threaded piece new and replace it when you replace the gears...snoop around there site some, you will find info how to calculate which gears you need based on tire diameter and rear end ratios. Hope this helps you out! |

Re: 2 questions on 350 turbos
go to gm and buy the gear, a good dealer will have them all in stock.
put a new oring around the base of the output when you install the gear. |

Re: 2 questions on 350 turbos
Hey Bob,
There's a transmission wholesaler place here locally that I picked up the speedo housing, rubber gasket, and the driven gear....If you let me know what exact gears you need and such, I'll go get'em for you and ship to you at cost!....It'll probably all fit in a $4.95 post office priority box EDIT:....here's the website....https://www.wittrans.com/Default.aspx?

Re: 2 questions on 350 turbos
I have found that on a th350 (or any other gm trans that uses the small driven gear) 1 tooth of change will = 1/2 of a tenth on your odometer.
