Question Engine Paint Question??


Hello everybody. I'm about to paint my 350 engine block, and would like to know, is there a rattle can paint out there that will do a good job and won't flake off? THANX!!!!

I used high temp duplicolor on some of my BMW blocks and few prblems. I wouldn't recomend it for the plastic parts as it did flake off that. But i did several light coats after i thourghly cleaned it and made sure there was no residue of grease or that grime stuff. and it was good. the latest paint has been on two years and no flaking.

If you are going with orange go to gm and buy their orange spray bomb, nothing beats it for color and durability in my opinion

Spray bomb here.
Just make sure you clean the block to where you'd let your date eat off of it...if you get it that clean, the paint will stay there for quite a long time.
I painted this engine back in '99 and some paint is just starting to flake...but I didn't clean it very well, and it was real cold that day too.
