WTB - Brake Calipers
Hey guys I'm looking for a set of front brake calipers that will fit a 79 chevy 2wd with 1.25" rotors. They need to be in pretty good usable condition. I don't mind them being dirty, but I need them to function properly..

Re: WTB - Brake Calipers
I'm in the process of modifying a 67 c10 to 6-lug disc brakes and I have got 79 spindles, but I don't have any calipers yet.. That's why I'm looking for calipers. I'm gonna price them at Napa Monday, just thought I'd see if anyone had some here cheap..

Re: WTB - Brake Calipers
Ah, your problem is you ned cores.
GM made millions of these, any 73-80 + any 81-87 with big brakes. Unless your parts guy are smarter than mine any truck or car caliper in the box would do. Jyard or ad on local CL will usually get a pair of clunkers for $10. Better investment to get rebuilt than chance used. BTW if you buy NAPA buy the one with hardware, it's like $2 more than the bare and you don't have to mess with the bushings boots or lube.
