Price check

So I have decided to sell my crew cab and before I list it on ebay/craigslist I was curious if you guys thought my price was reasonable. So here is a quick description of the truck

'79 c30 crew cab frame shortened (box cut and fish plated)
350 with vortec heads and comp cam, 700r4 tranny both motor and tranny have less than 1000 miles.
Paint is new but body guy left some waves on the passenger bed side and front fenders. He got stabbed while he was working on the truck and instead of giving me the truck back he thought he would save me some money and just paint it before all the body work was 100% . It still looks pretty good but I would say the paint/body are a 7 of 10
Tires are less than a month old
Interior is in pretty good shape, needs a new headliner and carpet is stained on drivers floor. (I'll get pics in the morning)
Everything else works like it should, a.c. blows cold, tach works, pw pl work, runs and drives great.

I would like to get $7500 out of it but I think $5-6K is more realistic.

Yeah I figured that too, I'm not in a position that I NEED to sell so yet so if I list it on Ebay I think I'll set the reserve a little high.

I saw that, I liked that truck. How long did it take you to sell yours? and is that what you originally were asking for it or did you come down at all?

Adam, you know you have a gorgeous truck! Ask the dough and see if you get it. Things are turning around here too.

I agree list high. It's a clean looking truck. Someone will want it, I'm sure.

Re: Price check

Yeah I don't think you will have a problem selling the truck for that price. As a lot of the others have said start high, then you can always come down to where you are still comfortable letting it go at. That way they feel they are getting a great deal because they talked you down, and you are happy because you still got what you were wanting out of it. Good luck, and I hate to see it go. Make sure if you sell it to write in the bill of sale that they have to keep us updated on here with it's progress and new home.

Thanks, It should be on ebay in the next week or so. I'll set a really high reserve at first just to see where it ends up and if it sells great and if not no big deal. I'm fortunate enough not to be in the position that I NEED the money so I dont mind waiting it out.

Absolutely, my thoughts exactly!

Don't let the "bad economy" stop you from listing it at what you think it's worth! The person who wants it and has the money will buy it. Some people are tightening up, but certainly not everyone!

I've always said that something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. That being said, I see no reason why it won't bring $7k to $7.5k.

Re: Price check

I'd say 7-7500 easy if the inside was in good candition and it had (IMO) better wheels. Not that it don't look nice now, I'm just not a fan of the big wheels on square body trucks. A nice set of 15-16's and that thing would rock for me.
