parking lamp re wire
When I got my 60 long bed, the parking lights never worked. I thought it was the head light switch and replaced it, still no parking lights. No biggie.
Yesterday I decided to find out what was wrong, and found out that the parking light circuit had no power , I removed the bulk head conector and found out that there is no wiring for it, guess the PO removed it. So I thought why not wire the parking lights to the low beam circuit? Having added realys a while back I taped into the wire going from the relay to the low beam head light conector. easy Since I didnt have working parking lights before this worked for me, here is a link if you want to do it "right' http://www.6066gmcguy.org/parklamp6063.htm here are a few pics of what they look like so what ya think ? I have another post on a high beam trouble that I have on my stepside, but I wanted to pass on this tip

Re: parking lamp re wire
Excellent tip. I like the parking lamps on all the time the headlights are running. The Ron Francis wiring I have works this way. Just curious, do the parking lights remain constant on high beams?

Re: parking lamp re wire
These trucks came from the factory where the park lights only come on without the headlights.
