Lock outs with a stock 203?!
A previous owner put Warn lock outs on the front hubs, but I don't think he made the necessary mods to the t-case. From the quality of the other work that was done, I would guess not. It doesn't matter, since that case is now sitting in the corner leaking oil. For the time being I will be running a stock np203. Instead of changing the hubs back to full-time, can I just leave the hubs locked and drive it or will that screw things up? I have a set of full-time hubs from my '72 K10 Suburban but I doubt they would work since it has a Dana 44. Thanks

yes this will work or you could leave them unlucked since it will not hurt any thing and if you have a 10 bolt under the truck the full time hubs will slide right in place due to the fact that 44 and 10 bolt use the same hubs

Re: Lock outs with a stock 203?!
When I first got my ’78 back in 1996 it had a stock TH350/203 with lockout hubs. If I unlocked the hubs the truck wouldn’t even move, as it felt like the trans was slipping unless I shifted it in Hi loc. I drove it with the hubs locked in for a few months until it got a 205 donated from a dead ’71 Blazer. A few years after that the automatic got canned for a 465 with a different 205. Now I want to can the 465 for a NV4500.
Speaking of the part-time Milemarker kit for the 203, you better hurry! I read Milemarker isn’t doing very well and is predicted to go belly up.

Re: Lock outs with a stock 203?!
The hubs can be different. There are "bolt-on" hubs and "slide-in" style hubs. As long as they are the matching style, they will fit.
But, either way...you cannot "Just drive it" with the hubs un-locked. The truck will not move. You can lock the hubs and leave the transfer case in the normal unlocked position. It has the same effect as the stock drive flanges. I would however get a conversion kit for the transfercase. And I guess you just answered my question from the other post......
