Question Any windshield installers in Oregon

I'm looking to have a new windshield installed, but I'm getting prices of $200-$300 for this in Portland/Salem. Does anyone have any good experience with a cheaper shop and where? Heck, maybe even Seattle/Tacoma area...

Hey Brad, I'm still a few months away from having a new windshield put in my truck. When I do, and if the price is good, I'll let you know and you can decide if you wanna make the trip to Grants Pass. I doubt the saving would be enough to justify heading this far south though. There's a glass shop down here called Daryls Glass, hell of a great guy. I'll let you know when I get mine done.

I just called about one for my Chevelle and got a price of $227 and another for $200 installed here in Pa. I didn't realize prices went up so much. 7 years ago I put one in myself for $120.

If you know anyone that works for an autobody shop, maybe you can hire one of the workers to moonlight and install it for you. I had a sunroof installed that way once and saved alot.

I just got a quote yesterday for the GMC; $179.89 if the existing window seal is okay or 241.91 if they replace the seal; plus they will come to the house to do it;
these prices were in Roanke, VA
