Cool New Wheels/Tires are on

They took some getting used to going from tall skinnies to short and fat but I like the look. It's not the popular look with 20's but I like the Nastruck/utility look since it suits the purpose of the truck, which is basically for hauling packages to the post office and other errands. The wheels are 15x10 with ~4" of bs and the tires are 295/50 Mickey Thompson Sportsmans. It's needs a drop something fierce! I have some 2" drop springs I got off ebay and I plan on getting a 4" shackle hanger kit for the rear.

I'm not a big fan of the black wheel craze, but that does look pretty good. Needs some black bumpers too...

I thought the same thing. I wasn't sure when I saw the wheels on there own but I like them on. Now just black out the rest. Edit: Oh, and drop it like it's hot.

Re: New Wheels/Tires are on

The plan is the de-trim, de badge and black-out the truck. I want to black-out the grille and paint the bumpers the body color too. And later on run a black 2-in cowl.

Re: New Wheels/Tires are on

I don't care for the black wheels, but once you get all the other stuff blacked out they will look pretty good. I'm just used to chrome wheels when you have all the chrome on the truck. When your done with your plan it will look sweet.

Is that the same truck as your avitar! I think I'm crying...

But I do like the black out look. Once it's droped it'll look great.

Re: New Wheels/Tires are on

Looks great! I love those steel black wheels for a lot of reasons, manily because they are cheap and great quality and look good on everything they get put on. They are also very strong. Hadda set of them on one of my 4x4's and they were super strong off road and never bent.

Actually they are aluminum so they're super light. My braking has greatly improved going from 18" wheels! And they're flat black so they're a little different than the typical gloss black steel wheels.

I also want to build this truck to handle! after I lower it I'm going to run a large set of sway bars and heavy duty shocks.

Here's a rough render of the what I'd like it to look like:

Yeah that looks a lot better without as much chrome. Then when it's a little lower that will look killer man.

Re: New Wheels/Tires are on

Love big meats on our trucks and yours is perfect, but with a 10" rim and 295's on the front you might have rubbing problems if you go tooo low when I bought my 83 it had 10" Enkies and 295"s and it rubbed when I had it dropped 4/5
