Will they plug in and work without any problems. Ours is the single CD type.

Yup, both these radios have a single cd and a casette. They'll both work.

They will not plug in and go FYI, 2003 trucks run a databus system, and the radios must be programmed to the truck's vin/options at the dealer using a tech 2, and this process runs about $75 at any dealer, this is not the same as the "theftlock" system that is easy to unlock like the 95-02 trucks.

Bose/non bose radios will swap right in and can be programmed for either option, although if you get one from a colorado/canyon they will plug right up but will not work unless you do NOT have bose or rear seat entertainment. I learned this the hard way after trying to convert to a 08 Colorado MP3 cdplayer in my 2003 BOSE truck.
