Re: Cruisin the Coast 2009
I will be down some time on Friday. Planning on staying until lunchtime on Sunday. I haven't figured out which truck I am taking down. Hopefully the 71 fleetside will have its leaking transmission fluid situation resolved so I can take it. It is such a comfortable riding truck.

Re: Cruisin the Coast 2009
I'll be there nearly every day somewhere!
I've an original 68 anniversary and a cobalt blue 65 Caprice. I like to hang out near the light house.A lot of tire smoking goes on here! Swapmeet on Saturday,so I'm going to it. Edgewater Mall is a good place to park too! Mike. http://www.picturetrail.com/100chevy Last edited by 100%Chevy; 09-21-2009 at 09:54 PM. |

But really all you need is a comfy lawn chair. Find a good spot along Hwy 90 and sit & watch the cars as they come by (we usually set-up somewhere close to Edgewater Mall). This post is also a bump, because I'm tired of the SOS at work & looking forward to CTC!!!

Re: Cruisin the Coast 2009
I am off the entire week for it, unfortunately I got nailed for Jury Duty. I am hoping they hate me and I'll be free.
There is a large crew coming in from LA, but they are at their local show in Natcha------ (I can't spell it) this weekend., so you probably won't see many of them on this thread right away. Most of us meet up at the Swap meet at the coliseum on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. I think some of the folks are coming in starting Wednesday, but most are Thursday or Friday. I am sure hoping to get together with a lot of you folks. Saturday is normally rough to get to the Swap meet area, but anything is free game, especially if I am not in the jury. I do have Soccer games on Saturday till about 2ish. Hope to meet up with a bunch of you this week. PM me and I'll give you my cell and we'll try and get together with everyone we can dig up.

Re: Cruisin the Coast 2009
I can't wait for Friday to get here so I can head down to the Coast!! The sack chairs and gear are pre-staged in the garage and ready to be loaded into the truck.
See you there! Dean

Re: Cruisin the Coast 2009
OK guys, first report of Day One.
Rain on and off, but had a fair showing anyways. I wish I could have gone in the morning before the rain, but I was in church. Today was 90% chance of rain and it held true, but not too bad. supposed to drop off to about the normal, 30-40% chance on Thursday-Saturday. Here is the link to the pictures I took today. Cruising the Coast 2009 I'll be updating as I can go to events. But right now, I have to report for jury duty tomorrow. Pray that they hate me and send me home for the week.

Re: Cruisin the Coast 2009
Hope to catch up with you guys sometime.
StrokinRat, I'll probably be around Edgewater Saturday afternoon also. I haven't got a clue where I'll be running around at tomorrow. Depends on what the LA guys are doing. PM me and I'll give you my cell and we can try and meet up and harass the world. DJracer, at least you have a car. All I have is 02 Silverado filled with soccer grass and and splattered with mud. Any of you folks that will be here tomorrow or Saturday, if you want to meet up, PM me and I'll give you my cell #. If you have never been, you won't know want to do. There is just sooooo many cars/trucks of everything. I am getting car overload (NOT) but it is just amazing. I wish it wasn't so humid so my drool would evaporate.
